Like real gliders, the radio controlled versions are easier to control than normal RC planes and also give longer flight times as you do not need to constantly apply throttle. With their small motor you can climb high and then turn the throttle off and enjoy gliding down. Gliders also make good entry level planes thanks to their slow flying speed and larger wingspans that are less sensitive to pilot errors.
